pencil jarSometimes, filling in a form can be trying, so herewith some words to ease the way.

Writing Club keeps official interference to a minimum, as policy.

The membership form is as much to aid members as it is to let us know who is abroad in the club.

So, please follow the steps below and we look forward to your arrival in the club.

1. Go here after and while you read the following notes. :

2. Read the standard conditions of using a forum.

3. Click whichever of the three selections at the foot of the page applies to you.

4. You will then see a page headed Registration Information.

5. You may fill in any username you wish in the first box, or use your own name if you like. This name will appear each time you place or post a message or reply on the forum. It's your club identifier.

6. Next is your email address for club contacts.

7. Choose a password and confirm it in the following box. You are the only person who knows this password. Keep a note of it, lest you forget it.

8. In the confirmation window, enter the code exactly as you see it. The code is case sensitive and any zero shown will have a diagonal line through it, so you know it's not a letter O.

9. Scroll down to see Profile Information. Information supplied here is placed on the forum so that other members can have a sense of your interests. Do not fill in any section you are not happy with. Leave them blank. This is membership entry to your club; it's not an interrogation process.

10. Some notes on the choices:
Website: If you have a site list it and attract traffic to your site.
Location: is where you are based, if you wish you could list your country, county, or town.
Occupation: By listing your occupation, you could find others that have something in common.
Interests: Could attract like-minded people to chat on specifics.
Signature: This is about 40 words that appears beneath your club name when you post to the forum. It can be an ad for your work or anything else you do that is relevant. Or it could be an apt quote. Or ;eave it blank. You can change it at any time.

11. Preferences
Select your preferences from the yes/no lists that follow.

12. Finally, press submit.
