Member competition

Short story competition rules

1. Entry is open to everyone on payment of an entry fee of five euro.

2. Entry is free for members of Writing Club.

3. Entries must the original and unpublished work of the entrant and not be submitted elsewhere for publication, or for another competition, while judging is in progress for this competition.

4. No entry form is required.

5. Paste your entry into the body of an email in text only format.

6 Please include, beneath the entry, a story word count, a 50-word author's bio, contact number, email and your postal address for remission of the prize should you be the winner.

7. Pay your entry fee online here.

Or, pop it in the post, cheque (to Fresh Appeal), money order, or cash is fine.

You may enter as many times as you wish.

8. Email your entry here before the closing date of midnight on April 15, 2009.

9. A confirmation email of receipt of your entry will be sent.

10. No alterations or changes will be allowed to entries once received, no correspondence will be entered into.

11. In the event that no entry reaches a sufficient standard, or insufficient entries are received, the promoters reserve the right not to award a prize.

12. Judges will be appointed by Writing Club and a judge's decision is final.

13. The winner grants the organizers the right to publish the winning entry on www.writingclub.org and on www.askaboutwriting.net as part of the competition prize.

14. Entry to the competition means acceptance of these rules.
