Welcome to www.writingclub.org. This site has grown out of a perceived need on our parent site www.askaboutwriting.net for space and opportunity for writers to share their writing and views on writing.
We believe that writers can learn from and support each other to mutual benefit through the club. We will use the resources and experiences of the parent site to support the club at all times; so we are not alone.
On forming the writing club, Askaboutwriting was receiving more than 4,000 individual visits per week from writers or those who had an interest in writing.
We see the primary function of the site as one of facilitating exchange of information and knowledge between members as well as addressing that sense of aloneness that can plague a writer, whether the writer is busy or resting.
Experienced writers and beginners alike can benefit from a chat with their peers about their quiet passion for writing
We hope that members will contribute freely. However little they write in comment here will flex the writing instinct and lead on to increased productivity in their own work.
Professionals involved in the business side of writing will benefit from reading about the writer's point of view, a perspective that can be mislaid in the hurly burly of publication and marketing.
Several categories have been placed in the forum as seed gardens; but, as with all fine gardens we will seek to propagate and nurture those areas of growth while pruning areas showing little growth.
We intend Writing Club to be alive and inclusive, so please join in, we really would like to read your words.
