Hello all.
What began as a story told on radio and which became a collection of printed stories (Barking Mad: Tales of Liars, Lovers, Layabouts and Loonies www.brendannolan.ie) is developing into a live storytelling activity.
I was invited yesterday at a storytelling workshop in Ballinasloe to tale a tale at the official Farmleigh storytelling festival in July.
I am telling at the Chapelizod festival earlier in July
On May 19, I am telling stories in the Irish Writers Centre on Parnell Square.
On May 26, I will conduct a Telling Your Story workshop in Newbridge library for Bealtaine.
On July 13, I will facilitate a Telling Your Story weekend in the Irish Writers Centre, Dublin 1.
And in August I am to be the Swanwick storyteller.
There may be no shutting me up.
And they all have to written out of my head before I tell 'em, casually.
Brendan

Isn't it just great, Brendan, that you are getting paid for telling tales. Am looking forward to being in the audience this August.
By the way I never ever did get to savour Barking Mad over the Christmas break. Some beggar nicked it off the top of the unit where I had planked it for safe keeping!! Methinks I'll have to buy another copy.
Should you get unexpected feedback from this neck of the woods let me know so that I can track the tea leaf down.

| That's great, Brendan - look forward to August and to listening to your tales over a glass of wine (or two), together with Kate and Fiona. Who else is joining us this year? |

Hi TFC - great to hear from you again. Looking forward to seeing you and all the others in August - hasn't the year gone quickly? If I'm going to fulfill the promise I made in Brendan's class to have the first draft of the book finished by the next Swanwick, I'm going to have to go some!

Hello all.
For those who would like to see as well as hear a story told, I have uploaded some stories onto YouTube.
The plan is a story a month.
Two are up, two await.
So far, so good. Though more views would be nice, otherwise I talk to myself once more.
Folders on YouTube are called channels, so I can say I have my own channel on YouTube, hilarious.
It's here: http://www.youtube.com/brendannolanstory
Write soon.
