Congratulations Brendan! I'll be 'in another part of town', as Carrie Bradshaw says, hoping that a DVD and presentation, being put together, at the moment, will be fit to be seen!!!!! (Long story!).
I hope your event will be a huge success and look forward to reading the book.

Thanks folks for the well wishes.
It's anybody's guess how many will show up at the launch in Lucan's Spa hotel on November 11, at 8pm. We have taken to issuing an open invitation to all and sundry to call in and to bring a pal. You too.
The books arrived from the printers and look and handle well. I confess to a moment of doubt as I paused before opening the first box to see how they fell out.
But they are fine and handle well. They are already selling in both retail and wholesale amounts.
A serious sales drive launches next week and will continue to Christmas.
See you at the launch, perhaps.

Would love to be in lovely Lucan, but stranded here in soggy Salopia. Good luck with the launch. _________________ Carol |

Hi Brendan,
Congratulations on a most successful launch of Barking Mad in the Lucan Spa last night. There was a great atmosphere and I really enjoyed the occasion. I'm looking forward to getting stuck into the stories in the book!
Looks like the ideal present for Christmas.

Hi John.
Thanks for attending. It was lovely to see a club member there as well as all the other people that turned up for the launch.
I am told that extra seats were brought in before the mic was even switched on. Certainly, we sold out of books of which there plenty to begin with, and had to send out for extra supplies. I sure signed a lot of books.
This was my first actual launch. Neither publisher funded a launch for my earlier books. It was strange to listen to other people talk about my writing and what they think of me; very strange. I am promised pictures and I will post something on the club pics page when they arrive here.
From today, another community station WDAR located in the next broadcasting area is broadcasting a Barking story each week until the year's end. That may also help sales of the book.

Brendan,
So glad to hear that the launch was a great success, never expected it to be otherwise.
Just found the safe place where I hid my euros. I'll get some off to you.
Will you post the radio link again, please.

Hi Fiona.
Thanks for the thanks.
A fresh story is now being broadcast at 9.30am on Sunday morning, following scheduled changes on the station. www.liffeysound.com
The station does not maintain an online archive of broadcast programmes, nor is there a podcast, so you need to listen live.
From January 9 there will be half hour programme of two Barking stories at 6.30pm on Wednesday evenings on the same station.
I am told.
