Open Short Story Competition

1. Write what you will. You may use the picture as a starting point, if you wish.

No theme is set for this first Writing Club open writing competition.

2. The prize is €100 and publication on www.askaboutwriting and writingclub.org websites.

3. Maximum word count is 1,800 words.

4. The closing date is July 19, 2008.

5. A winner will be announced on August 19, 2008

6. In the event that no entry reaches a sufficient standard, the promoters reserve the right not to award a prize.
