Here's how

Avatars are for you

plane boyIt can be difficult when a lot of messages are posted to a forum to pick out a favourite fellow member, one you perhaps enjoy reading more than another.

This is where an avatar comes in handy as a visual tag.

An avatar is simply a small image that appears with your pen-name each time you post a message to the forum.

We encourage members to consider the use of an avatar for practical reasons; but also because it adds variety and colour to the pages of text. And fun is what we are about.

Here's how to do it:

1. Log in using your membership password

2. Choose profile which is at the top of the page

3. Go to the Avatar control panel at the foot of the new page

4. Go to Select Avatar from gallery.

5. Click show gallery

6 Choose an image that appeals to you and click beneath the picture you want

7. Press submit and that's it.

If you are a computer person, you may choose from any of the options shown at the bottom of the member's profile page.

Tlistmanechnically:
The system displays a small graphic image below your details in posts.
Only one image can be displayed at a time, its width can be no greater than 80 pixels, the height no greater than 80 pixels, and the file size no more than 6 KB.

But if you have a pic that is very much larger than this that you wish to use please contact admin and we will resize your pic to an acceptable size without losing resolution.
